In the first months of the war 3 young people - Rita, Ivan and Yasha - are involved in a horrible crime story: Rita's parents brutally murdered, Yasha became an unwitting accomplice to murder, and Vanya - accidental eyewitness. All three get into a reconnaissance, which are prepared to throw in the German rear, advancing on the capital.
